[She smirks at that. Not that she doubts Jude (he is kind of a genius after all), but it's amusing imagining someone like him struggle with something as simple as this.

She just flops back into her original resting position to wait, and she opens the picture easily when it comes. It is pretty late, so she can't really fault it for being dark...]

[It must be pretty spectacular if it made flowers like these and even if horticulture isn't really in his realm of interests he wouldn't mind. He really hadn't had too much of a chance to wander around and explore some of the more immediate areas. He'd been spending his time in a more predictable location...]

Well... we are expected to get jobs here so I thought it would be the most logical place to start. I spoke to some of the doctors in the medical facility and they seemed interested in letting me work there. [The Research Tower hadn't been as keen on letting an outside in although they said they would consider it but... all the secrecy and frightening looking robot guards made him reconsider. At least for now.]

The Research Tower definitely is. Their medical facility is a little more like where I practiced in Fennmount except with less spirit artes. [And more technology which he'll have to learn to use but... he could do it.]

[She hadn't realized Jude had already spoken with anyone. She's not too surprised, though, even with the three-month head start they're given...

It's even harder to face the fractured Milla here and then start to wonder if the same rules about doubles apply here as they did back home.

Thanks, I appreciate that. [Even if Leia can be... Leia... he knew she really would vouch for him like that if needed.] I don't think they'll ask though. They asked me a few basic questions and that seemed to satisfy them enough to consider me.

[It isn't really her thing, but she's learned the value of research and field work since starting at the newspaper. Plus, she feels so far in the clouds that you could convince her to go just about anywhere--try just about anything.

More time with him is always a plus, too. Not that she's really thinking about it or holding it against him, but with his search for Milla back home... and the fractured Milla, and Milla's return... well, he hasn't had much time for her outside their mission and the battles that come with it.

It's... nice not having to worry about that for now. Even the vague notion of their world's destruction seems distant to her.]

[That makes him chuckle a bit from where he sits on his living room couch. Unfortunately Jude remains Jude and is completely oblivious to her wanting to spend time with him. As per usual, really. He did this similarly when he was in school in Fennmont, never writing letters to her or... anyone in Leronde, honestly. His mom had gotten annoyed at him for that too.

He doesn't do it on purpose he just doesn't think about it...

Also yeah that's about what he thought and he just sort of shakes his head at her text replies. Jude either never sleeps or gets up at stupid hours in the morning (or both) to be ~~an overachiever~~ productive. But he knows Leia isn't an early riser. (Most people aren't as early a riser as Jude can be, to be fair....)]

I wanted to get to the research district by 9 so it would have to be before then. [So... pretty early since he has to account for the time it takes to travel there. The trains here were fast and amazing but it still took some time to get from one place to another.]

[Gross...... gross, but challenge accepted. Leia stares at that 9 for a moment before taking a deep breath and responding.]

[It's okay he can pretty much picture her determined face right now. He can also picture the kind of wake up call he'll get from her if that happens. It will most likely involve a lot of pain.]

Yeah, you too. [Get some rest that is. In that case he'll shut off (or at least attempt to) the communicator and put it aside for now, effectively ending the conversation on his end. If that's happening then he really will need to get to bed sooner rather than later.]
